Margaret was simply the most alive person I have ever known with 'the Baird's' being the most vivid couple. I simply cannot imagine her not being here. We are so sorry to be overseas missing what Harriet described as sending her 'off in style'.

Deepest condolences to Stephen, Harriet and Sophie from Emily, Jim, Natalie and Victor Flynn.

Dear Stephen and family

Deepest sympathy.

Knowing Margie for 50 years from a vibrant young student at Otago Uni where we flatted together to a lifelong friend, confidante and colleague.

My elegant, graceful, clever yet humble friend. You leave a store of fond memories and admirable achievements.

Con cin dearest Margie.

My deepest sympathy to all of Margaret's family, friends & colleagues. Margaret was one of my most inspiring lecturers as an undergrad student. Her enthusiasm and excitement for immunology led me to take up an Honours research project in her lab, and then to move on to a career in cancer immunotherapy research. She will be greatly missed but her memory will live on with many the people whose lives she touched.
