In the fleetingness of your life Malisa, you reached out and touched the hearts of those around you. You inspired and grew us your students with your generosity, great humour and kindness. Thank you.

Malisa was a wonderful teacher. She was generous and patient with the knowledge she shared, and had made going deeply into tai chi her life's work. We will never forget the debt we owe to her. She and Bernard opened their home to all of us on the many occasions we went to classes there. They created a calm space to help us explore tai chi. It is a tragedy that their lives were cut so short.

A wonderful person for the Grey Lynn community who ran Tai Chi classes, twice a week, at our community centre for fifteen years. Always delightful and friendly in person & she will be hugely missed by us all.

Devasted to read of Malisa and Bernard's death. A lovely genuine lady. I knew Malisa from when I was Manager of the Otahuhu Town Hall Community Centre and she was taking the Tai Chi classes. She will be sorely missed.

So very saddened to learn of the tragic loss of Malisa and Bernard. My sincere condolences to their families.
From a former student of Melisa. I only left to move to New Plymouth but was looking forward to returning to Melisa's excellent tuition when I return to Auckland in a year or so hopefully. Sadly that will now not happen..
Sincerely,
Judith Simpson.

Malisa was a wonderful Tai Chi instructor to my 90 year old Gran for many years. A highlight of her week, which Gran even travelled across town for when she moved to a new suburb. Malisa, you will be dearly missed xxx
