I was privileged to have known you Madeleine. Performing Shepherd on the Rock with you in Whangarei was a highlight. I very much valued your support when I was conducting the Northland Sinfonia. You were the greatest of friends and Caron and I will always remember your hospitality. Our thoughts are with your family. Much love Nigel Harrison

Condolences to Madeleine´s family. I only met her once in 2004 at my Mother´s 90th. Her `fame´ was well-known in the family. I picked her out from the crowd, saying " that must be Madeleine" she LOOKS like an opera singer! Uncle Frank was my favourite uncle-met Rosalie, sent Val a 1949 photo, met Graeme (Hawera).
