It was my privilege to be accountant for 20 years to Lyn, to Anchor Wire Limited, and to the Russell Family Trusts. Lyn was always a warm friend as well as an astute and capable businessman. I will miss him greatly.

Dear Diane, Sean, Wilson and Cameron. I am so sad to hear your beloved Dad and my Uncle past. I Have so many happy memories of growing up with our families. I send lots of love to you and your children, his Grandchildren at such a sad time.

Our sincere condolences to Lyn's family from us all at Marley Loft. We have a huge respect and admiration for Lyn's personal and business achievements. You have certainly left this world a better place and your memories will support so many for so long.

I remember watching Lynton Russell play many games for Auckland at Eden Park and scoring many fine tries. Lyn Russell would not have been out of place in an All Black side. Vale, Lyn Russell.

Saddened to read of Lyn's passing. I remember fondly the many training runs around the streets and parks of Auckland. He was a credit to the sports of athletics and rugby.

RUSSELL, Lyn. Auckland Rugby Union extends our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the late Lyn Russell. Lyn played 93 games for Auckland in the 1950s, scoring nearly 200 points. Lyn was a well regarded Barbarian and will be greatly missed.
