Lynette STEWART Obituary

STEWART, Lynette Gladys (nee Grice). Passed away on Sunday, 8 March 2026, at Pohlen Hospital, Matamata. Aged 81 years. Loved wife of 61 years to John, loving mother to Donna and Clive, Murray and Lisa, Judy and Allan, Rachel and Phil, David and Liz, adored Nana to her 19 grandkids and 25 great grandkids. "She brightened the lives of everyone around her and filled our lives with love, music, happiness and lollies!" Thanks to the Pohlen team for the top-notch care. A celebration of Lyn's life will be held in St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Meura Street, Matamata, 11am on Saturday, 14 March. Very sad to read that dear Lyn has died.
She was a great inspiration to myself and my family especially in the Morrinsville Country Music club. I sang with Rachel in a trio called Kabara. Lyn made our sparkly outfits which I was very proud of. The memories of Lyn are precious and she was certainly a very loyal friend. Both Geoff and I send all our love to the Stewart family. Sorry we are unable to be there to say our goodbyes.
