FON-LOWE, Lynette Jane Moana LeiWah (LJ). Passed away suddenly on 19 March 2021 in Fullerton, California. Born in Palmerston North on 28 October 1946, she was the second daughter of the late Lui Fong Hung and Margaret Kiriona Fon-Lowe. She was a vibrant 74 years old. She is survived by her partner, David Stewart (Fullerton), her son, Leighton Fon-Lowe (and Kylie Sampson) and grandson Campbell George (Auckland); and her daughter, Chanel Liquori (London). Lynette's life was one "well travelled"… after starting her secretarial career in Auckland, she spent almost 30 years working and living in Houston, Honolulu, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Las Vegas, Brisbane, Newport Beach and Fullerton, before returning with her daughter to New Zealand in the early-90's. While residing in Karaka, she was a well known and respected fixture in her candy stall at the Otara, Manurewa and Avondale Markets, and at Pacific Flight Catering, before moving back to the USA in 2017. While she will be remembered as an industrious worker with a keen sense of humor and wit, she was not all work and no play! She was an avid golfer with memberships at Manukau and Whitford Golf Clubs, an ardent fan of the All Blacks, (traveling to Chicago to see them play their first game on American soil), and always ensured she was available to sit "courtside TV" to follow her favourite ProTennis players. And let's not forget her love for the "gee-gees" and mahjong! She was the beloved sister of Sylvia and Murray Sportsman (Sydney), Christine Fon-Lowe (Palmerston North), David Fon-Lowe (Auckland), Arohanui Bender (Edgewood, Kentucky), Rosemary and Joseph Stewart (Calabasas, California), Trevor and Sue Fon-Lowe (Brisbane), Sherie Khan Fon-Lowe (deceased) and Caroline and Perry Keenan (Chicago, IL); and Aunty "Nin" to her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A Memorial Service will be held in Auckland upon the return of her remains for interment. No flowers please. Condolences can be sent to
