Luigi ROCCA Obituary

ROCCA, Luigi Mario. Passed away peacefully with Dawn by his side on Sunday 7 August 2022, aged 87 years. Luigi fought an incredible battle to stay with Dawn and will now be forever watching over her. A true love story that started on the high seas and was cemented in Italy. Absolute adored father of John and Linda, loved father-in-law of Mandy and Andy. Treasured Nonno of Bianca, Matteus, Valentina, Gabriella, Gemma and Sofia. Dearly loved brother of Franco and wife Marisa. Luigi was loved by many people and will always be remembered smiling and with a twinkle in his eye. "Ciao Luigi, oggi te ne sei andato dalla lontana Nuova Zelanda per un viaggio ancora piu' lontano ... " Special thanks to the community at Lynton Lodge who supported Luigi and Dawn together with love. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 16 August at 2:30pm at Good Shepherd Church, Telford Avenue, Mount Eden. Followed by a private family cremation.

I came to the Farewell / No Parking / Two cars in front turned / dropped off / 1st car got a car park at the end of the street / it was 3 streets to find a car park that said 30minute . sorry I didnt get there Tony

We are saddened by the death of a family friend to our parents, Anna Maria and Giuseppe Gambardella.

As children we remember a generous and thoughtful man always smiling and laughing. His pride and exuberance in being Italian is a lasting memory.
We send our deepest sympathy and hugs to his beautiful Dawn and our heartfelt condolences to his family. You are in our thoughts.

My love, sympathy and condolences to the whole family.
What a wonderful man he was. Loved Dawn, his family and his garden -a bit of Italy on on the hill, and people. Always smiling, ready for a chat with that twinkle in his eye.

Luigi, I have so many happy memories of the times we spent with you and Dawn. You have been such a wonderful support to Dawn, as well as John, Linda and their families, all of whom you were so proud.
We were lucky to have spent a week with you in your home in Bonassola on the Italian Riviera when you were visiting your parents and were looked after wonderfully by you. Such great times Luigi. We will miss you!! All my love. Jill
