To the Rummel family, My darling Simonne. My oldest friend. You all lived just up the hill from us , we were 2 Georgetti rd, in Wanganui back in 1967/8. Stu and dad ( Henk Bothof) were old friends so consequently we met. I remember many school hols after you had moved to L. Hutt , when you came back to Wangas to visit Edith . We had so much fun. Our parents remained firm friends throughout. I´m so so sorry to hear of Aunty Lou´s passing. My love to you and the family at this heartbreaking time. XxTina ( Bothof )

Louise and I started together at MIT. A great friend and always there to help you when required. Hard working at work and at home. Always smiling with a kind word for all. Admired by the nursing students for her knowledge, caring and kindness.
When you ask her, "what are you doing?" Answer, "marking assignments." Even when she was not well. Dedicated to her work.

I worked with Louise for many years in the Burns and Plastic surgical unit at Hutt Hospital.
A bubbly, caring nurse who gave her time willingly to her patients, their families and all her colleagues. Louise was a true team member. Nothing was too much trouble and she would frequently extend herself to assist those who needed it.
Louise was a nurse who was passionate about her own education and that of others. Willing to share her knowledge and support both her colleagues and students in their chosen field. Nursing has lost a great role model.
Sincere sympathy to her family who I recall she talked about with much love and devotion.

I had the privilege of working with Louise in the Regional Burns and Plastic surgery unit in Hutt hospital until she left and moved with her family to Auckland. A supportive and caring colleague, passionate educator and devoted patient advocate.
There are many nurses who worked along side her, who were privileged to be taught and supported by her, that will acknowledge Nursing has lost a great role model.
Sincere sympathy to her family, who she spoke of often and adored.
