Louise GORDON Obituary

Rest in peace Louise, you deserved it. Lovingly look upon all the people who love you and be given the chance to protect them and be near them.

At the beginning of this year Louise and I began writing to each other with some regularity. Quite incredible when you think about our age and distance. Yet, those messages had become a much-awaited weekly appointment: always full of excitement, life, laughter, worries and hopes.
All until Louise's last message came no more and I learned of her illness.

So I responded to a message from her that was never sent, writing among other things: "In just a few months we exchanged many beautiful messages, which opened and allowed us to leaf through - in a simple and natural way - the book of our respective existences. It is more than fair, then, that I think of you as someone with whom I shared something important in my life, albeit from a distance.
I allow myself to hope that you will be able to read this message of mine soon and that the situation will evolve for the better.
After all, our fate is not set in a way visible to us and is somehow in the hands of those we hope will be good and merciful.
I would not want to miss our date in person, but even if that does not happen, know that you have found in me a dear friend to whom you have given many gifts.
I wish you the best: the closeness and love of Orlando, your family and friends, and all the people who matter to you and who have made your life special."

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
I met Luisa on Christmas 2024, I was a guest of her sister Jane. Luisa was a very open and joyful person.

I´ll always remember the Christmas we spent together while I was studying in New Zealand in 2017. Louise was so lovely and welcoming, and I have only warm memories of her and that time.
