Jocelyn LILBURN Obituary

LILBURN, Jocelyn. On 13 October 2025, peacefully, at Wharerangi Rest Home, Taupo. Aged 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Robert Bruce. Loved mother and mother in law of Bobbie and Julie, Ewen and Ailsa, Chris, Tracey and Mutu, and Bruce. Loved by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Jocelyn's life will be held at The Founders Chapel of Remembrance, 117 Rickit Street, Taupo, on Friday 17 October at 1:30pm, thereafter to the Taupo Lawn Cemetery. What a remarkable lady! So kind and gracious and someone who made a lasting impression on me. Meeting you on my few trips to NZ to visit with Lisa, Bobby and Julie was always a welcoming experience. Because of Joce, I got to experience my first helicopter ride around Lake Taupo a memory that lasts to this day. She made me feel so special whenever we met. I enjoyed her kindness, company, hospitality and sparkling personality. So sad to hear that this extraordinary lady has passed. I shall never forget you. My deepest sympathies to all the family.

Farewell Jocelyn. You were an amazing person. I remember well the hospitality you and Robert provided when I visited you. You could create a meal instantly and were always kind and warm to your guests and family members and loved your grandchildren. My deepest sympathy to Bobby, Ewen, Bruce, Tracey and Chris and to your families.
