Lorna PEDERSEN Obituary

PEDERSEN, Lorna Myrtle. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 25th March 2025, aged 89 years. Much Loved Wife of the late Dan. Loved Mother of Maria and Rex, Jane and Joe, Sonja and Richard. Grandmother of Carla and Sarah, Hemi (deceased), Gabrielle and Keanu. Great-grandmother of Mason and Parker, Hugo, Arthur, and George. Many thanks to the staff at Ryman Murray Halberg for caring for Lorna. A funeral service will be held at Terry Street Bible Chapel, 158 Terry Street, Blockhouse Bay, Auckland on Wednesday, 2nd of April at 11 AM, followed by burial at Waikaraka Cemetery.

I have known Lorna at Murray Halberg when we both arrived here at about the same time. We became good friends over the months and I often visited her in her lovely appartment, sharing cups of tea and having enjoyable conversations. Lorna was always a gracious lady, a beautiful soul. I am going to miss her very much. The family was getting ready to celebrate her 90th birthday on ( Good ) Friday, 18th April and told her I would celebrate with her over Easter with a drink of quality port which we enjoyed together. Lorna, may you now be enoying the eternal wine in Heaven and the best of health.. Your spirit lives on. RIP dear friend.
