Am so sorry to hear of Aunt Lorna´s passing. She was an amazing lady with a wonderful memory despite her physical problems. I loved chatting with her and exchanging stories of life´s adventures. I´m sure the good Lord has welcomed her with open arms and united her lovingly with Uncle Wally. Love you, niece,"Bunny" Jean

I am so sad to have just found out about Lorna´s passing, she meant a lot to me. I grew up living next door to her and would spend a lot of time over at her house just hanging out with her or helping her with jobs around her house. I continued to visit her when she moved into and between rest homes. Now at 30yrs old I even was able to take my children to meet her and visit her a few times. She did so well in her life and had some amazing stories.

Lorna was a member of the Auckland Scleroderma group and we enjoyed many lunches together over the decades. She often shared memories of her younger days, especially driving trucks. Our condolences to her family. Heather, Helen and Ann

We are very saddened to hear of Lorna's passing. Our family is now missing a great friend and mentor. New Zealand will not be the same without Lorna being a part of our visits. My wife Sally has so many memories of her childhood with Auntie Lorna and uncle Wally. May you rest in peace Lorna.

Our late Mum, Beverley Bates nee Brown enjoyed many happy times with cousin Lorna. Mum and Lorna will be able to continue to marvel at how our ancestors, Carl and Maria Schmidt nee Fair, arrived in Aotearoa and created a family. We are thinking of Lorna and the family. Kindest thoughts, Davina Keen
