Lionel DEVALIANT Obituary
DEVALIANT, Lionel James Died peacefully at St John's Hospital on 21 January 2015, aged 77 years. Dearly beloved husband of Judith. Much loved father and father-in-law of Sue and Gary, Sarah, Jenni, and Catherine and Paul. Loved grandfather of Tasha, Anna, Ella, Charlotte, Ruby and Kate. A service for Lionel will be held at All Saints Chapel, Purewa Crematorium, 100-102 St Johns Road, Meadowbank today, 24 Janaury at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society of New Zealand, PO Box 1724, Auckland 1140. All communications to the Devaliant family c/- PO Box 56013, Dominion Road, Auckland 1446.

I worked with Lionel at Nga Tapuwae, and remember him as a good looking ex London copper, who was good at teaching. A sound person.

R.I.P Sir....An awesome teacher back in the mid 1980's (Nga Tapuwae College, Buckland Road, Mangere). Such a people person, he loved his students as much as he loved teaching. Appreciate all that you've done to help better our future. Greatly missed always xo
