I worked in the same gang as Lindsay at Invermay. I was 18 then and now almost 70. When Lindsay interviewed me for the job, I had to be compatible with his sports as he & his offsider Linsay Bennett (Ben) would argue somewhat.
I enjoyed my time working with both of them. We spent many hours playing Pontoon during winter when we weren't busy.
I remember Lindsay loved Frew's Mutton pies and can still see him tipping the fat out of the pie into the paper bag.
I understand Lindsay had MS? I was unsure what this was back then but remember he had a little difficulty with his fingers & walking.
Rest easy now Lindsay those were great days we had back then...a far cry from today's working environment. Thankyou Lindsay.
Cheers, John
