Brenda Humphrey Obituary

Gaffney, SC - Brenda Kaye Hannon Humphrey, 75, of 201 Hampton Boulevard, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at her residence.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of John Leonard Humphrey, Jr. for 52 years and daughter of the late Marshall Neal Hannon and Pauline Goforth Hannon. She retired from the Cherokee County School District and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. She loved her family and her work, flowers, birds and working in her yard.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a sister, Pat Elmore of Gainesville, GA; her furbaby "Frankie"; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Gene Hannon and a sister, Shirley Reynolds.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
