Saddened to read of the of the passing of Lew. A true West Ender who gave much to the club over his many years of membership. Happy to have met up with Lew at the recent 140th Jubilee of the club. As the club song says - "To go on but not forgotten by the rest".

Beck, Lewis. West End Rowing Club wishes to express its condolences to Lewis's wife Dale, and his family on his sad passing. A member since 1948, Lewis was a key member of West End Rowing Club getting involved in all aspects of the club. With his passion for rowing and the club, Lewis was great coach and instilled the love for the sport into members still rowing today. In 1989 Lewis was made a Life Member of the club. He will be long remembered by the club and fellow rowers. Ake Ake Kia Kaha
