I´m just seeing this today 7th December 2024.
He was my landlord in Auckland New Zealand when I was a student Pilot at Eagle Flight Training. May his soul continue to Rest In Peace. Amen

So sad to hear you slipped away. It was a pleasure to know Les for many years. I would often stand beside Les at a function and ask him if I was old enough to stand beside him. The times working the orchard at Miranda. The times me and Les fished every lake in Rotorua. Les became a second father for me and spun a great yarn. He farmed and skipper ed Devonport ferry s. Rest easy Les.Pities

I knew Les for a number of years when I worked as Service Advisor at William Gill and Sons Ltd where I organised service, wof and repairs for his work vehicle. Les was not only a valued Gills customer, he was a gentleman, a much valued friend and a real comedian with an endless supply of side splitting jokes and stories. He always wore a smile on his face and always made time for a yarn and a coffee. Les, I'm honored to have met you. Not a day goes by without thinking about you. Big hugs. Rest easy my friend.
