BRIGGS Lawrence, Frederick. WW2 Japan 653052 L.Corporal 2nd NZEF J Force Passed away on 5 November 2016 in Rotorua aged 90 years. Beloved husband of Josie (deceased) and dearly loved father and father-in-law of Derek and Delia, Keith and Trudy, Karen, John and Jill, Alan, and Charles. Grandfather and great grandfather to his grandchildren. Loved brother of Betty and Huia Briggs (deceased). Lawry will be resting at home until his funeral service which will be held at 11am on Tuesday 8 November at Osborne's Funeral Directors Chapel, 197 Old Taupo Road, Rotorua. Followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations please to Rotorua Hospice PO Box 1092 Rotorua or these may be left at the service. All correspondence for the Briggs family to c/o PO Box 926 Rotorua.

So sad I missed your funeral. I hadnt realised you had passed away until told today. Such a gentle lovely soul who will be fondly remembered by many, including the hundreds of students you taught at Western Heights Primary School. A great and dear friend to many you will be missed. Reunited with your family and friends in heaven.
