Laurie SMITH Obituary
SMITH, Laurie. Peacefully passed on 24 September 2022, aged 91 years. Dearly loved father of Sally, Richard, Nicole, Kristen, Jamie, Julia and their partners. Beloved grandad to Adam, Sam, Samantha, Liam, Jimmy, Ava, Michael, Liliana, and Jonty. Great-grandfather to Skarlotte, Justin and Brammer. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Ngaire and Bob Long (Deceased). Uncle to Robert, Susan, Annette and Vivianne (deceased). A service to celebrate Laurie's life will be held at the All Saints Chapel of Purewa Crematorium, Saint Johns Road, Meadowbank, today Monday 3rd October 2022 at 12noon.

Laurie & his wife Sadie tool me & my son Simon to live with them back in late 60's. I remember them as very caring . My thoughts & prayers are with the family.

Fantastic surgeon, humble and gentle man who had so many talents; was a privilege to have been his registrar many, many years ago. Always enjoyed the cup of tea and chats after the ward rounds. A legend for a whole generation of us
