Laurene......(The Canteen Lady)
Almost 20 years ago we moved from a small town to Manurewa. My husband had got a job as caretaker at JC. I was a scared small town girl in a big city.
You were my first friend!!!!
You taught me where the best place to shop was - which kindie to send the kids to - how to fit in and when I was homesick you had a cure for that as well
You loved and spoiled my children like they were your own and they loved you.
You became a person I respected loved and looked to for advice knowing you would never judge me. We were truly privileged to have known you
They say friends are kisses blown to us by angels and Laurene we are truly lucky you were blown our way.
You touched our lives and taught us so much "Thank you" doesn't seem big enough but all I can think to say. We will not forget you.

To Laurene's family I send my condolences. A bigger heart she couldn't have had, such a loyal and wonderful colleague to all at JCHS. Rest in peace now and may the angels watch over your family always.
