STOKES, Laurence Alexander (Laurie). On Wednesday 30 March 2011, peacefully at Matamata Country Lodge. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Ann (nee Toomey) for 49 years. Loved father of Susan and Janine. Father-in-law of Michael and Bryce. Loved special Pop of Justin and Megan Howard and Anton & Madeleine Arens. Loved brother of the late Rowan. He will be sadly missed by us all. A celebration of his life will be held at the Matamata Fire Station, Peria Road, Matamataon Friday 1 April at 1.30pm. The Service will be followed by a burial at Matamata Cemetery, Peria Road. No flowers please. Donations can be made to the Matamata Fire Brigade at the Service or posted to PO Box 197, Matamata 3440.
