CYNTHIA MARIE DIANE HORNE-de JONG On July 9, 2016, Cynthia went to be with her Friend, her Lord, her Saviour Jesus. Much loved by her husband Matt, her sister Ruth, John and Blue, Geoff and Debbie, Tanya, Dolf and Trish, grandchildren Brianna and Josh, Benjamin and Matt, great-grandchild Kenny, cousin Betty and many close, dear friends. Cynthia had a long and often rewarding career as an RN for nearly 40 years at Mount Sinai Hospital, first in Neurology, then in Psychiatry. She was a true Nurse, advocating for patients and providing the best care she could. Her leaving to be with Jesus does leave a very large gap in our lives, but we live in Jesus' assurance that we, one day, will be with her again. Friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home (2035 Weston Rd., north of Lawrence Ave.) on Wednesday, July 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be at Queensway Baptist Church (950 Islington Ave., Toronto) on Thursday, July 14th at 2 p.m. with opportunity to visit with the family from 1 p.m. till service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cynthia's favourite charities, DayStar Native Outreach Ministries and Christian Counselling Services.
