THOMAS, Kenneth James (Ken K J) QSO JP (retired). 20 June 1929 - 16 July 2015. Mayor of Matamata Piako District Council 1989 - 1998. Peacefully at home after a long battle. Dearly loved husband of the late Joan, and father of Karen and Greg, Joanne and Don, James and Jane. Grandfather of Jane and Brian, Nicholas, Emma, Laura, Katherine, the late Sarah, Matthew and Shannan. Great grandfather of Thelia and William. The 'Patriarch' has gone and will be greatly missed. Thank you Dad for all your love, support and wisdom. A service for Ken will be held at the Morrinsville Events Centre, Ron Ladd Place, Morrinsville on Wednesday, 22 July 2015 at 1:30pm followed by private cremation. THOMAS, Kenneth James. Aged 86 years. On 16th July 2015, peacefully at home. Dearly loved eldest brother, part time guardian, friend and counsellor of Margaret Thomas. You will be greatly missed. Thank you for all you have given and done for me over these years.
