A lot of fantastic memories from my teaching years at Aberdeen with Ken.
Our friendship and communication continued when we moved from Hamilton, with our first Christmas letter always arriving from him.
He and Jean joined us at our bach in Taupo to celebrate New Year in the late 80s, and the bagpipes accompanied much dancing and singing that night.
Sincere condolences Jo, Ewan and Rob, he will be sadly missed after living such a full and productive life dedicated to his teaching, family Community and friends.

Ken and Jean shaped our kids as first day pupils at Aberdeen Primary School. We couldn´t have asked for better. Ken made sure that all the children could play a musical instrument before leaving, mostly the recorder. Our highest respect. Condolences to Jo, Ewan and Rob. What a great principal Ken was. Ex Aberdeen Primary pupil. Loved folk dancing while Ken played the bag pipes. They were great school years. Rest in peace Ken.
