Kenneth HOLMES Obituary

Anice, so sorry for you ( and me) to read that Ken has passed. My thoughts go to the rest of your family too.
As first cousins we grew up together in Wellington and kept in touch during our later years.
From a young age I remember Ken as the talented musician who entertained us during every family get-together at the Strathmore home. His parents, Alan and Pearl, were super proud of their son.
Ken Holmes was always a kind, good natured, generous person. It was with similar generosity that he advised me that his health was failing, giving me time to fly over from Brisbane in April 2023. We lunched, we reminisced and said goodbye.
The attached photo is of us at Auckland Airport in 2011.
RIP mate.

Ken was a great supporter and Past President of the Rotary Club of Pakuranga.
He gave over forty years' service to Rotary and was instrumental in the formation of several new clubs.
Ken Holmes was a real people person and formed lifelong friendships with many members of Rotary.
He made an outstanding contribution to our community.
Rest in Peace.

Ken was the epitome of "Service above Self" as exemplified by the positions he held in his community. Ken was a neighbour and fellow Rotarian who will be missed.

Thinking of you Anice of the loss of your Ken. Happy memories I have of you both.
