Kenneth Dillon Obituary

Kenneth F. Dillon, 82, of Greensburg, died Sunday, June 2, 2002, in his home. He was born Dec. 27, 1919, in Madison, a son of the late John and Bessie (Traft) Dillon. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by West Penn Power and was a member of the Church of St. Paul, Greensburg. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Alonzo, Roy, Elmer, Glenn and Harry; and two sisters, Mildred Sirovey and Goldie McClintoc. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Giallonardo) Dillon; three daughters, Linda Ferretti and her husband, Ronald, Sandy Laughner and her husband, Jack, and Sherry Giovannagelo and her husband, Vic; eight grandchildren, Dena Feret and her husband, Mike, Ron Ferretti Jr. and his wife, Heather, Jodi Ferretti, Kellie Ferretti, Nicholas Laughner, Nicole McGinley and her husband, Mike, Rachael Laughner and Ashley Giovannagelo; four great-grandchildren, Michael Feret, and Madilyn, Heidi and Dillon Ferretti; three brothers, Merle ``Jess' Dillon, John Dillon and Herbert Dillon; a sister, Mary Butler; several nieces and nephews; and his companion dog, Lady. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers in the funeral home Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Paul, Greensburg. Interment with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post 33 Honor Guard will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township.
