Kelvin GALLAGHER Obituary

GALLAGHER, Kelvin Raymond. Passed away on Thursday 13th October 2022. Now in the loving arms of his dear wife Jill. Dearly loved father and father in law of Russell and Nicky; Tracey and Steve; Jenny and Warwick. Adored Grandy to Ash and Scott; Madeleine, Jacob and Daniel; Ryan and Gracie and great granddaughter Kaylee. Special thanks to staff at Ward 3 Whangarei Hospital and Jane Mander Special Care Unit for their loving care of Kelvin. A service will be held at Newberry's Funeral Home, Whangarei at 1pm Thursday 20th October. A gentle nature, A heart of gold, These are the memories we will hold.

I was sad to learn of Kelvin's death just today.. from a mutual friend. I met him at University and was a great admirer of him as a person,an outstanding scholar and sportsman rower. He fell in love with Jill at an early stage and even though the university desparately pleaded with him to do a PHd all he wanted to do was finish study and marry Jill. We send our condolences to you all in the sad time. We remember the great times we shared when you lived in Purua. The socials and community fun functions etc.
I remember Kelvin when he was painting our house how quickly he could drink a cup of hot tea.
Unfortunately we will be unable to attend the service.
