So sorry to hear of Keith's passing.
Having played cricket for the Sydenham Club all those years ago,I remember playing with Keith in the Seniors.
He was a great batsman and a very good medium fast bowler.Who can forget his batting stance.
Having lived in Beanland Ave Spreydon I remember meeting Keith at the Lesters also in Beanland Ave all those years ago.
What a sporting family the Thomson's were, who can forget the missing palings in their drive fence in Simeon Street.Keith's parents were a delight, lovely people that one will never forget.
Accept my condolences,in this sad passing.

My husband Charlie Broad (Canterbury Cricket in 1066/67) and I both knew Keith in his "heyday" He was always a lively team player and will be remembered fondly by many of that era. Sadly for me Charlie is also now deceased so I guess there will be many happy reunions 'up there'! My condolences to all the family he was a legend.

I want to say a heartfelt thankyou to Keith. In my first year of teaching, I was at Hagley High School, and Keith was my Head of Social Studies. He was a great encouragement to me. We met again at Christchurch Boys´ High School 19 years later, and he remembered me, and welcomed me. He helped me to set up all the "alternative" English, practical Communication Skills courses for the non-academic boys, to give them a head start for their Polytech Trades courses. I could not have done it without him. Christchurch Boys´ High is deeply indebted to him. Keith did immeasurable good for generations of students. Thankyou. Peter Comery

Will always remember the great times in hockey both as an adversary and a teammate. Never ever played in a beaten Canterbury side when we were both on the field. Also your guidance to me as a cricket umpire. Many great stories shared. You were a great servant to your clubs, your province, your country in your chosen sports. RIP Keith

K.T. motivated me to play some of my best hockey. Dribbling around the outside of the gym at CBHS at lunchtime helped harden us up. He would help anyone and told some amazing stories.
RIP K.T. Love to the family at this time.

Keith was a fantastic fighter to improve the status and workload and value of careers advisers throughout NZ. He inspired me and so many others to fight for greater recognition of the value and importance of career education. I salute you Keith. You inspired me

My deepest sympathy to all Keith's family. I lived in Addington near the Thomson family and I played hockey with and against Keith for several years. Keith was a great sportsman and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
