Keith TANNER Obituary

TANNER, Keith William. Born on September 20th, 1927, in Hamilton. Keith peacefully passed away on Tuesday 28 May 2024 at the age of 96 years. He was a devoted family man and a respected leader in the community and the legal profession. He lived a wonderful life filled with love and purpose. Dearly loved husband of (the late) Evelyn. Much loved father and father-in-law of Sam and Ngaire, Jonny and Sue, Mary and John, Helen and Tim. Cherished granddad to all his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. A huge appreciation to the wonderful staff at Awatere Care Suites for supporting Keith through in his last chapter. A service to celebrate Keith's life will be held at Chartwell Cooperating Church (St Alban's), 126 Comries Road, Chartwell, Hamilton, at 12 pm on Tuesday, June 4th. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hamilton Christian Nightshelter Trust, https:/ /www.tewharekorowai.org. nz/ "Take what you need from this life and leave the rest for others." The board and staff of Te Whare Korowai Taangata o Kirikiriroa (Hamilton Christian Nightshelter Trust) and those whom we serve and support, are deeply grateful for Keith´s many years of remarkable generosity, and encouragement of our efforts to alleviate homelessness and respond to the needs of some of our most vulnerable citizens. Keith was a fine and caring man who gave a great deal to our community and will be greatly missed.
