Keith HERD Obituary

HERD, Keith Randal. A tribute to Keith Randal Herd. 15 January 1947 - 27 June 2025 (78 Years). Today we bid farewell to an extraordinary man, Keith Randal Herd, who passed away peacefully on 27 June 2025, surrounded by the unwavering love of his family and close friends. Keith lived a life full of energy and heart. His legacy is one of kindness, loyalty, honesty, gratitude and a sharp sense of humour. His deep faith in God, and the strength he found in it, will continue to inspire all who knew him. Forever the devoted husband and soulmate of Sue (Susan) for over 60 years. Cherished father and father in law to his three daughters, Kelly and Dave O, Michelle and Dave, and Stacey and Mike. Adored Da to his grandchildren Edyn and Cameron, Miela and Andy, Riefe, and Ronnie, who stood by him throughout his journey, a testament to the love and unity of our beautiful family. Keith was more than just a family man. He was a great uncle, a loyal friend, and a pillar of strength for all who knew him. His unwavering support, compassion, and loyalty made him a rock to those who were fortunate enough to call him part of their lives. Keith was the beloved son of the late Mac and Jean Herd, and brother to his late sister Lois. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family. A celebration of Keith's life will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 90 Bethlehem Road, Tauranga, on Wednesday, 2nd July 2025, at 10.30am followed by a burial at the 18th Ave Cemetery. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Marfii, Dr.Catmull, the hospital staff, and the nurses at Waipuna Hospice for their exceptional care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to Waipuna Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
