Keith Griffith Obituary

GRIFFITH, Keith Clifton. MBE (Rev). On 12 January 2011 in Wellington aged 80 years. He was Helen's loyal and loving husband for 52 years. The loved father, father-in-law and friend of Andrew and Liz (Christchurch), Timothy and Sue (Auckland), David and Diane (Paraparaumu) and Bernadette and Graham (Wellington). The proud and interested Poppa of Aidan, Cara, Sam; Johanna, Olivia, Christopher; Nicola, Aleisha, Jonathan, Kayleigh; Michael, Rachel and Ellie. Thanks to the staff of Mary Potter Hospice. Keith will be with his family and his church family in the PIC Hall. A family service for Keith will be held at 6pm on Friday 14th of January at the Church of Christ the King, 3 Warspite Ave, Porirua. His funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday the 15th of January at the same church followed by burial at Whenua Tapu Cemetery Wheeler's Guardian Funeral Home Phone: 04 237-5332

Keith was a huge inspiration for a great many adoptees and others who support open adoption records.

Keith did so much to get adoption records made available to those directly involved in Australia and New Zealand. He helped SO many people with his insight, his kindness and generosity.

He wrote a fantastic book, called The Right To Know Who You Are, which is a great resource for anyone involved in adoptee rights.

Hei maumaharatanga ki te tino hoa
In loving memory of a dear friend
Keith was and will always be a great source of inspiration and strength for me.

I can only hope that I live to be as humble and caring a man that he was.
I am blessed to have known Keith even if it was for a short period of time.

His passing is a huge loss.
