Kay and I shared early morning chats over the last two years. She was welcoming, supportive and always knowledgeable. Kay's special twinkle is a sorry loss in our lives, and I am thinking of her close whanau and friends at this sad time.

It's been probably 50 odd years since I last saw Kay. We were in school together and my grandparents used to live on Swanson Road, just around the corner from Arney Road, where the Hogans lived. We played netball together, and these are some of my fondest memories of high school and Kay. What a team, we were at the top of the competition. See here in the photo, with Kay sitting in front of me. Of course, we all went our own way after the school years. I have looked for Kay and see she had a career with Waitakere Hospital..I regret I didn't try harder to make contact again but I will always cherish my teenage friendship with you..I hope you rest easy now Kay...

She was awesome to work with and a real shining light as a leader and mentor. Loved her roses trick too! Fondly remember our times at Waitakere hospital. Aroha

Dearest Kay, taken from us way too soon. You will forever be remembered for your vibrant spirit, love of life and dedication to the needs of others. Your passing was far too soon and nothing can express how much you will be missed. My aroha goes to your loving whanau who will miss you the most. Fly high Angel. Arohanui Eden.
