Walking back down memory lane, I remember your mum always with her apron on and often with a peeler in her hand prepping vegetables for your dinner...This is Karyn...Donaldson from across the road. Memories of our very community neighborhood back in the day, when my mum would send an egg over to your mum and get a cup of sugar in return. When us little Donaldsons would sneak over to watch your new television while you girls had to do your homework. I remember Mary putting on the first lot of Abba records and us girls, Monica, Danielle playing either your house or our house. Your mum was such a wonderful homemaker as was my mum. Wonderful memories. But in the later years, I can just see your mum with her bright red lipstick on, a lovely hat perched on top of her wavey hair, carrying her bags and standing at the bus stop to go up the Bay. Always the most cheeriest of smiles and the warmest hello and chat out. We always knew her to be such a happy lady and so friendly. All my love and thoughts with you girls and especially a special hug to Monica as we were the same age, grew up together and were friends. Mum and dad are really feeling the loss of your mum, their neighbour for 60 years or so. May our God be such a strength of comfort to you all and know this, you had such lovely parents. You were so blessed. Take care, lots of love, from Karyn across the road...
