Kathleen BENNETT Obituary

As teenagers, some of us referred to Helen as 'Mrs B', and we still use this epithet when we reminiscence and remember her kindness, welcome, laughter and empathic understanding in those (now for my age group) long ago days. I am happy in adulthood to have known her also as 'Helen'. She remained ever a kind and gracious lady and I am forever grateful to the friendship and fellowship and fun that she made available to my mum in the last years of Mum's life when they were both living at Pakuranga Park Village. She was such a special lady. Her fashion sense was still evident in her 10th decade. Arohanui to all Helen's whanau.
