Kathleen Anderson Obituary

ANDERSON, Kathleen (Kaa) Katerina. (28 September 1944 - 4 December 2010) Passed away peacefully at home (Orangiteepu, Ruatoki) wrapped in her whanau's fierce and gentle love. Daughter of the late Makere Ata and James Dowden, Kaa was adored by the love of her life, husband Richard; a devoted mother to Lil' Richard and Gaynor, Claire and Greg and Vicki and Cairo; a doting nanny to Hinetekohurangi and Rongomaitawhiti; caring "sister" to Rotu, Josie, Rosie and Mazor and will be sadly missed by her many aunties, uncles, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to the nurses, staff and friends from Whakatane Hospice. Tangi will be held at Otenuku Marae, Ruatoki with the funeral service at 11.00am, Tuesday December 7.
