Karl THOMANN Obituary

THOMANN, Karl. Born February 18, 1921. Passed away on July 10, 2018. 97 years young. Loving husband of the late Jane (nee Whittaker). Loved father of Freda, Elise, and Samuel and grandfather to Chad, Joseph, Leonie, Nicola, and Jamie. Father-in-law to John, Norman, Alan, and Sonya. Great grandfather to Emily, Samuel, Josiah, and Ethan. A service will be held at the Waikumete Cemetery Chapel, 4128 Great North Road, Glen Eden on Monday 16 July 2018 at 1pm. Rest in Peace. Psalm 119 v 9.

karl was my granddad and every day after school a use to go visit him and he would give me some of his ginger nut cockies. love you granddad and you will forever be in my heart and i will forever remember you

I boarded with Karl and his lovely wife Jane at their house in Vermont St. Crazy, happy memorable time. Karl was a tough unit. Sad to hear he passed away.
