It is great sadness that we learnt of Karen's passing today. All throughout our childhood Karen & Jeff were a weekly fixture of kindness and laughter in our lives. I will never forget my teen trips to stay with you both when you moved to Auckland and will always thank you both for taking me in (although I was a right ***). Although we have not been fortunate enough to see you in the past years, our thoughts have always been with you. Rest easy Karen, love your Yaxley family xoxox

Peter and I were saddened by the passing of Karen. She was my best friend, when I needed a best friend, we were adventurous as teenagers and enjoyed the outdoors and Saturday 5pm movies. We became teenager mothers and married and began separate lives. You will be missed and my memory of you will never be forgotten.
