June WILKINSON Obituary

WILKINSON, June Gladys. A service for June will be held in St Johns Church, 149 Kamo Road, Whangarei, 2:00pm, Wednesday, 24th October 2012, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations (in memory of June) to the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind, Guide Dog Centre, Private Bag 94002, Manukau 2241, Auckland, would be appreciated. Communications to 'The Wilkinson Family', c/- PO Box 8043, Kensington, Whangarei 0145.

Last month at Te Wahapu

June will be remembered by many members of our parish. We have enjoyed her company at services in Russell for holiday weekends in the family's early days at Te Wahapu and especially for her retirement years there as well as the many occasions after she moved to Whangarei.
She was always bright and cheerful and had a sharp mind that resonated with the thoughtful members of the little congregation at what she called her “dear little church” at Russell. Her contributions to worship and discussion were always greatly appreciated and her warm hospitality nourished many a casual visitor.
We give thanks for her life and send warmest sympathy to her family.
