I did my 16th BFR (first time with Julian) this year, we covered much of Fiordland in 4 hrs flying, what an incredible person, a great pilot and instructor with so much knowledge. He had an easy way of getting his message through. I had hoped for many more flights with him. Aviation will be much worse off without him. Will be sadly missed.

JK, I believe you made me a better, more understanding person for having known you. That is an amazing gift. You were a truly good person - never hesitating to lend a hand.

It's sad to think you'll never be popping in with a bag of mushrooms again.

You were always lovely to Panda & Cassie too .. they will miss you on their trips to Arrowton.
Rest Peacefully

So sad to hear of Julian's passing. It's many years since the 'good old days' at the Wakatipu Aero Club. Flying was his passion. As Richard Bach,the author of 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull', said in relation to the joy of flight;

" Those of us who fly have our debts to pay "

Passed away doing what he loved...'Now your really flying Julian'

My condolences to Henry and all of the family.

Henry,Lyn,Mark,Simon and Tracey, I was so sorry to hear of Julian's passing. I know it has been many years since I have seen you all. Some of my fondest memories were sitting in the boat house at Frankton Arm with you all in the summer.It seems like yesterday but how 40+ years have passed. I just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you all at this time.
