Julia was my aunty and Maurice was my mums brother so my uncle, they loved each other greatly It was a terrible thing her dementia, Maurice was very caring, Julia was awesome she gave me a job as she did many, at the law library she always looked out for me as a young person. When ever i was in Auckland i stayed at there place on my way to oz or where ever, they always were there for me and we have all lost something that was really special. I am very very sad.

I remember Julia when I was a toddler and she was visiting Nelson as a teenager. I loved her thick plaited hair! We have a photo taken at the Queens Gardens in Nelson with me and my sister June as a baby. Later years my husband Stephen and myself met JuliaandMaurice for lunch on several occasions in Auckland. She did not deserve the suffering of Dementia but fate doesn't choose. My last memory of her is when she was in care in New Plymouth and in her mind, she was in her happy place, the Chatham Islands. Rest In Peace Julia.
