Julia McLACHLAN Obituary

McLACHLAN, Julia Betty (nee Gane). Born Hawera, April 5, 1942; died Queensland, December 16, 2021. Beloved wife of James (Jim); mother and mother in law of Craig and Michelle, Brenda and Frank and Marilynn and Shayne; grandmother of Kayla, Harry, Sam, Lachlan, Malachy, Kieran, Shaun, Luke and Madeline; and sister of Carol. Our beloved matriarch died peacefully after a heroic and fierce four- year battle against cancer. Julia travelled the world but was always grounded for her family. Her love and laughter filled rooms - and our hearts. An extraordinary and generous woman who lived by the mantra, 'life is not a dress rehearsal'. Julia will be dearly missed. A private cremation will be held in Australia and a family memorial service will take place when we can all be together.

Our Deepest condolences to my dear friend Jim and family. I will deeply miss Julia's quick wit, zest for life, morning tea donuts and Judge Judy updates.
Over the last few years I never heard Julia once complain and always reassured us she was doing OK. She always has put family first above herself and I am a better person for having known her.
Rest in Peace Julia, I like many will miss you but never forget you in my heart.
