Judy was known to me as Mrs McCashin at school where she taught me for Classics and Latin, but she was simply Jude, Paulie's mum the rest of the time. A wonderful warm, friendly and caring lady with a huge heart who threw open the doors of her home to welcome her children's friends. We will miss you Jude, you were such a wonderful friend. With love from the entire Fantham family, our thoughts are with you Kerry, Paula, Brendan, Simon and Michael and your extended familes.

To our beloved friend and neighbour. Judy, you were like a second Nanna to Alec and Amy. From the fun we shared about our Rugby teams, chasing Peka and being Amy's Godmother. You left a big hole in our lives when you left Auckland to return to Christchurch. Our sadness that pervails is deep, though tinged with smiles when we consider the love and laughter you brought to our lives.Gosh did Murray, Helen,Chizuru and I feel the 'love' after the Crusaders beat The Blues yet again!

Both you and Kerry were such a big part of our lives and for that we are forever indebted.

May peace, love, yoga, and humour keep you in God's hand till we meet again.

Love Simon, Chizuru, Alec & Amy Kelly (now of Brisbane)

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Mrs McCashin's illness and passing. I have fond memories of her as firstly, a kind and caring teacher, and secondly, an inspiring, well educated woman interested in what I found to be fascinating subjects, Classics and Latin. My heart goes out to the family losing her so suddenly, and too soon.

Judy's passing will be such a deeply felt loss for a wonderful family. I have many fond memories of her as a mum to Brendan, Paula, Simon and Michael and others of her as a passionate educator whose enthusiasm was infectious. Sending much love and warmth to the whole family, I'm sure you'll give her a wonderful, wonderful send off. Wish I could be there.
