Robert Bowie Obituary

BOWIE II, Robert Allen 1946 - 2025 Bob Bowie (79) passed away peacefully on 12/12. The son of Catherine and Ted Bowie, Bob graduated from UT Austin, where he met the love of his life, Jean McClain Smither and they had 2 sons. Bob worked in the banking industry and had multiple hobbies, including restoring cars, football, yardwork, and hunting. Bob was an active philanthropist, volunteering at Jubilee Park, YMCA, and Tackle Tomorrow. He was a member of Schreiber Methodist and Stonebriar Community Church. Bob is survived by his wife, Jean; sons Travis and Ted; grandchildren Owen, Emma, Coleman, and Tessa; and numerous other relatives. He will be remembered for his ingenuity, kindness, generosity, and love. There will be a graveside service on Saturday 12/20/25 at 2pm at the Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
