Judith LADD Obituary

LADD, Judith Maraea (nee Watts) (Judy). On June 12, 2023 peacefully at Summerset, Trentham; aged 89 years. Daughter of Bert and Vera (both deceased). Loved and loving wife of the late Rev. Ray Ladd. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Karen and Scott, David and Janine, and Angela and Brian. Adored Gran of her 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Always in our hearts, rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service or online. A celebration of Judy's life will be held in Kingswood, Corner King and Cairo Street, Upper Hutt on Tuesday 20 June, 2023 at 10.30am followed by private cremation. What a wonderful life of influence on education and learning . I especially found my early teaching life one associated with your kind guidance . You were someone who witnessed my early teaching and encouraged me with useful suggestions .
When I had my first child you were there among the first to hold her with a cardigan knitted by Karen I think . You were always cheerful and helpful. As I saw you throughout the years we shared our love of cats , with me having one of your kittens and you helping to care for it at times . Your lovely daughters were in my classes and they were also a delight. Your life touched others snd especially mine , thank you . Desiree

Mrs Ladd, you were one of those outstanding teachers with "Mana" and high standards and who didn't take any nonsense. I enjoyed your biology classes and I remember your lovely handwriting. May you rest in peace. Condolences to the family.
