Jude MILLER Obituary

Miller, Jude. April 19 1945 - July 26 2025 It is with great sadness that our darling Granny, Mama, Sister and Friend has left us for her next journey -"to who knows where," as she would have said. We farewelled her at Pakiri, surrounded by the sun, wind and rain - nature showing up in all its beauty and wildness, just as she always did. It was a day of stories, tears and laughter - a gathering full of love. She lived her life with boldness and grace, never apologising for who she was, always creating, always giving, always seeing the world through her own unique way. Her work touched people in ways words never could - and her spirit, even more so. To be loved by her was to be seen and accepted in the deepest way possible. And while she may no longer be here in body, her presence - fierce funny and wise will be with us forever. Haere rā Sam, Zo, Luce, Matt, Caelan, Broady, Gracie, Oliver, Cath and Vincent. Beautifully and perfectly said, brought another tear to my eye. I´ll miss her soft exclamations of `wonderful´ or `that´s so lovely´ and her chuckle...and even the odd shut down of `no I´m not interested´ when in mid story
Thank you Sam and Zoe for giving us all the space to be with Jude as she transitioned...it was a beautiful experience...and she would have been so grateful and proud.
