I met in the early 90s in Kamloops.Ray was my medical doctor and I went to see her for some counseling. She became my spiritual godly mother, my dear friend, and was the most special person that I´ve ever met. She taught me boundaries and above all to love one another while taking care of myself. I´ve only found this obituary now we have kept in touch, but there were long gaps in between I would love to speak to a family member. I don´t have any connections with any friends or family, if anyone sees this if they could please email me. [email protected]
this wasn´t the best picture, but I went to help her when she was going to move to New Zealand. This picture was in Dr. Robinson`s office and I bought it from her. It´s very special to me.

Joy was such a role model for a young teenager at my first Crusader camp - adventurous, lively, outdoorsy, fun- loving, and with a robust, intelligent faith. I owe her so much.
Later, I followed her in also working for SU, and briefly, shared a flat with her. I thank God for her life and faith.

So sad to hear of Joy's death. she was very special, both in Crusader camps (bike hikes) and so much more. For us as a family, she was the key person in the Adoption of one of our children. She was a much loved friend and mentor.

Sincere sympathy to you all. Many special memories of Joy (and Fay) from Quinns Road days. I learned lots of things from such a lively pair, including praying aloud in a group and helping in Every Girls Rally.
May God the Lord be your comfort at this time.
PS our sister, Joycelyn (Joy) went to be with the Lord in Tauranga last October, the first of our family.
