HUGHES, Joy Mary (nee Henwood). On 6 February 2019 at Monterey Park Auckland aged 77 years, after an illness bravely borne. Much loved wife of the late William John. Loved mother and mother in law of Craig and Kris, Grant and Biec, Sheryl and Brett, and Mark and Yasmin. Loving grandma of Aleisha, Teigan, Paige, Georgia, Ryan, Billie, William and Arwyn. Daughter of the late Neville and Freda Henwood. Sister of Elaine. The Funeral Service will be held in the Main Chapel of the Morrison Funeral Home 220 Universal Drive Henderson on Tuesday 12 February 2019 at 12:30 pm.

We would like to send you all,our love and deepest sympathy , at the sad loss of your lovely Mother and grandmother. She adored all her family and loved to talk about you all with such love and affection. It was a great pleasure to have her come and visit us on her trips to Europe.

Joy was an amazing lady, always full of love and smiles, she had a big heart for her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. We spent some lovely times together in NZ and England, but I will never forget how she helped me through some very dark times, and was always there to listen. She was like a mum to me, as I'd lost my own mum when I was 3yrs old. She will be forever in our hearts. God speed Joy and give my love to Bill.
