Joseph Lomas Obituary

Joseph Raymond Lomas, 55, passed away on Sept.10th, his family and friends at his side. Joe will be deeply missed as he joins our parents Richard and Belen Lomas. Joseph was born and raised in Bakersfield and worked for 15 years at White Forest Nursery. Truly enjoying his profession, Joseph was exceptionally good at his job.
Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph Lomas Jr., granddaughter Alexis Lomas, sisters Christina Hernandez (Henry), Belen Arredondo (Guadalupe), Clare Carmona (Arturo), Elvira Bristow (Charles), brothers Richard Lomas (Pam), David Lomas (Rose Mary), and brother Mark Lomas.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all the medical professionals who gave of themselves in caring for Joseph, and to Jere and Rita White, a special thank you.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 17th 5-8pm at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles St. A Mass will be held Friday, Sept 18th at 10:30 am. at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church, 601 E. California Ave., burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
