April 26, 2002, New Castle, Indiana (after a brief illness at Henry County Memorial Hospital). Born May 27, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan. Beloved husband of Mary (Bendik) Dankovich 45 years. Survived by children Ted (Tammy) Dankovich, Greenville, SC, Lisa Dankovich, Oxford, OH and Dr. Michael (Kristy) Dankovich, New Albany, IN. Grandfather of Cassie, Justin and Adam Dankovich, Greenville, SC and Ashley and Megan Dankovich, New Albany, IN. Brother John (Margaret) Dankovich, Evart, MI and sister Anne (Lyle) Rasch, Cincinnati, OH, several nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his parents John and Anna Dankovich, Detroit, MI. Served in the U.S. Army, as PFC in the 96th Field Artillery / 24th Division in Korea, June 1953-June 1955. BS Metallurgical Engineering, Wayne State University, 1953. MS, Automotive Engineering, Chrysler Institute, 1957. Retired in 1989 after 38 years from Chrysler Corporation as Product & Quality Engineering Manager at the New Castle IN Chassis Systems Division. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, New Castle, IN. Visitation Tuesday 10 a.m. at the church until Service 11 a.m. Memorial contributions to Historical Trinity Lutheran Church, 1345 Gratiot, Detroit.
