Jonathan BIRD Obituary

BIRD, Jonathan Philip. Passed away suddenly on Saturday, 9 January 2016 while walking Dun Mountain. Dearly loved husband of Kathryn. Much loved dad of Naomi and Aaron, Bethany and Simeon. Special grandad of Josiah, Juliet, Seth and Theodore. Admired and loved father in- law of Tim, Andrew and Louise. Loved brother and friend. The Service for Jonathan will be held at the Mapua Community Hall, Aranui Road, Mapua on Friday 15 January 2016 at 2pm. In Lieu of flowers Donations can be given at the service for Coast Guard New Zealand. All communications to Shone & Shirley, P O Box 9046, Annesbrook, Nelson 7044. JB was one of the good guys, so sad to hear of his passing. I worked with him for many years at LWR, a genius with computers. My condolences to his family.

I met Jonathan 2 years ago at Design Textiles and more recently supporting him in his role at Farmlands. I'm terribly shocked by his death, and can't imagine what his family is going through right now. He has left this world way too soon and will be missed. My thoughts are with his family and friends x
